As we get closer to the FanFilm Awards, we would like to invite you to get to know our chosen nominees. Our Judges have been hard at work, deciding who may see the lime light on the big screen, preparing the amazing prizes in store for our film makers and writers to come.
The first on our list is a story that started fan-made stories. The reason why all of our fantasies after the fairytales were created. Since the death of Sherlock Holmes, authors paid homage to the story by resurrecting him in their own novels, changing him through chapbooks, and ultimately stretching the canon of the character so far that no poetry can clearly define the real Sherlock Holmes, unless it was by Sir Conan Doyle himself.
Elemental (mi querido Watson) is a fanfilm adapted from a famous joke. It was neither an excerpt from any fanfiction or short story, but a jest of wit. I remember hearing this joke, when I was fourteen, on the radio. It was a hot day, riding in my uncle’s car, and there was a brief moment when the usual playlist halted for a few minutes of talk. The conversation was plainly an exchange of two DJs goofing off, until this story came about. Not to ruin it, but it is worth your while.
